With the “Ladenburg Horizons,” the Daimler and Benz Foundation is focusing on research alliances between German and African institutions. This funding initiative is concerned with selected regions in Africa and takes account of their growing scientific and political significance.
Research institutions in Germany that already maintain or would like to establish contacts with African partners are eligible to apply. Funding is provided for a period of three years, with a sum of up to €300,000 intended above all to benefit the African partners. The next call for proposals will be issued in fall 2025.
