Ladenburg Research Networks

Funding line

The “Ladenburg Research Networks” funding line offers scientists the opportunity to work on topics within an interdisciplinary research network over an extended period. Under the leadership of a scientific coordinator who acts as spokesperson, a research topic is investigated by several working groups at various scientific institutions in Germany and abroad.

Ladenburg Research Networks

Through the Ladenburg Research Networks, the foundation aims to address important societal trends at the intersection of people, technology, and the environment. At a time when simple answers to difficult questions and straightforward explanations for complex issues often seem tempting in the media and in politics, the Ladenburg Research Networks provide a space for exploring questions characterized by seemingly insurmountable conflicts of interest. On the one hand, these issues are shaped by the multitude of stakeholders involved (consumers, businesses, policymakers, society, the media, etc.) with their diverse interests, as well as the time lag between their decisions and their long-term consequences.

Calls for application under the “Ladenburg Research Networks” funding line are issued at irregular intervals and announced on the website.
