Award of the Daimler and Benz Foundation for the dissertation of a female engineer

The Bertha Benz Prize, endowed with 15,000 euros, was awarded on 24. July 2025 to Dr.-Ing. Hatice Ceren Ates from the Technical University of Munich. She has developed a biosensor that can detect antibiotic levels via breathing air and enable individual therapies.
