Every year, the Daimler and Benz Foundation awards the "Bertha Benz Prize" to a female engineer who has completed an outstanding doctorate in Germany as a Dr.-Ing. The foundation wants to make an active contribution to supporting women in technical professions and to making their scientific skills publicly visible.

The new research project “Computational and Algorithmic Principles in LEGO®-Enriched Mathematics Learning (COMPILE)” is investigating how primary-school pupils in Baden-Württemberg can learn the principles of computational thinking and how to use computers in a playful way.
