The "Berlin Colloquium of the Gottlieb Daimler- und Karl Benz-Foundation" has been held since 1997. Once a year, this colloquium takes up topics from the "interplay of forces between humanity, technology and the environment" in interdisciplinary discussions. The new capital Berlin, with its wide range of research institutions, provides an adequate setting for this event.

Bertha-Benz-Lectures: By this series of lectures, the Gottlieb Daimler- und Karl Benz-Foundation commemorates the self-confident manner of Karl Benz' wife and her vigorous interest in his inventions, and thus acknowledges the importance of women in contemporary public life, particularly in science.

The Foundation awards the Bertha Benz Prize annually to young female scientists from fields of engineering. The prize is endowed with Euro 10,000.00

The conference rooms of the Karl Benz-Mansion, domicile of the Foundation, are also open to scientific events by external organizations.
